# Scanning partner tickets and settling with your partners

 At the door you scan a partner ticket like any other ticket, and the scanner shows which partner the guest comes from. Afterwards MijnEvent counts per partner what there is to settle.

        In short

- You scan a partner ticket with the same scanner as your regular tickets. The screen shows it is a partner ticket and which partner it comes from.
- The settlement counts the sent and scanned tickets per partner, subtracts the free quota and charges the rest at the price per ticket.
- You choose whether to settle on scanned or on sent tickets. A ticket scanned on several days counts once, and a revoked ticket does not count.
- You export the overview as CSV. You send your partners the invoice yourself.

# At the door

A partner ticket is a regular ticket. You scan it with the same [scanner](/en/blog/partner-tickets-let-partners-send-their-own) as the tickets you sold. No separate queue or paper list is needed.

The screen does show that it is a partner ticket, with the name of the guest and of the partner who invited them. So at the entrance of the fair you know straight away which stand someone belongs to. A revoked ticket is refused like any invalid ticket.

# The settlement

The settlement is on the **Partner tickets** tab of your event. Per partner you see:

- how many tickets were **sent**;
- how many of those were **scanned**;
- the **free quota** for that partner;
- how many tickets are **to settle**, and the **amount**.

An example: ten free tickets per partner and €7.50 per extra ticket. An exhibitor sent 22, and 19 guests actually came. If you settle on scanned tickets, 9 are to settle: €67.50. If you settle on sent tickets, it is 12: €90.00.

# Scanned or sent?

You choose this per round.

- **Scanned** is the friendliest for your partners: they only pay for guests who actually came. That works well if you mainly use the tickets to fill the hall or the fair floor.
- **Sent** fits when a ticket costs you something even if the guest stays away. Think of catering you buy per invited guest, or a limited number of seats.

A ticket scanned on several days counts once. A revoked ticket never counts.

# Export and invoice

With **Export** you download the overview as CSV, with all numbers and the amount per partner. That file goes to your bookkeeping. You send your partners the invoice yourself: MijnEvent counts, but does not invoice your partners.

   Frequently asked questions

## Frequently asked questions

## Do my scanning staff need to do anything different for a partner ticket?

  No. They scan it like any other ticket. Only the green screen mentions that it is a partner ticket and which partner it comes from.

## Can I charge a different price per partner?

  Yes. You set a price for the whole round and can override it per partner, just like the free quota.

## Can I check the status during the event?

  Yes. The settlement is always up to date, also during the event. So on the very first day you see which partners make good use of their tickets.

## Partner tickets for your fair or event: let partners send them themselves

Exhibitors, sponsors and departments want to invite their own guests. With partner tickets every partner sends those tickets themselves, with their own logo and letter, and afterwards you see per partner what was sent, scanned and is to be settled.
