When you sign up, your organisation name becomes your web address — yourclub.mijnevent.nl. That is where your events live, with your logo and your colours. Not a profile page on a large platform where you sit among a hundred other organisers and the next listing is already competing for attention.
No domain to buy, no DNS to configure, no hosting to arrange. The address exists from the moment your account does.
During sign-up you enter your organisation's name. MijnEvent turns that into a web address: "Fanfare Sint-Cecilia" becomes fanfare-sint-cecilia. If that name is already taken — or it is a word the platform uses itself, such as beheer, account or api — the form tells you straight away so you can pick something else.
The moment your account is created, yourclub.mijnevent.nl works. Secured with https, with its own page per event, and ready to be found. No waiting for DNS, no certificate for you to renew, no servers to look after.
In your admin screen you upload your logo and a header photo, then choose five colours and a typeface. The page picks it up right away — including a warning the moment a combination has too little contrast to stay readable.
Your own subdomain is not just cosmetic. It changes what you can put on your poster, and what visitors can still find a year later.
On the poster, in the newsletter, at the bottom of the flyer, in the local paper: yourclub.mijnevent.nl is short enough to type out and short enough to remember. Not a three-line link with a string of digits on the end that only works if someone copies it exactly.
Your logo sits at the top, the buttons carry your colour, the text is set in the typeface you chose. Anyone paying sees your name — not the name of whoever happens to sit in between.
The front page of your subdomain is the overview of everything you organise. Anyone who bought from you once comes back to the same address and sees straight away what else is coming — without you keeping a separate calendar up to date.
On a profile page at a large platform, a suggestion for something else that same evening sits right next to your show. On your own subdomain there is only what you organise — the attention your poster bought stays with you.
Your own subdomain does not replace your site — it is where the paying happens. How visible that hand-off is, is entirely up to you.
The simplest option: a "Tickets" button on your own site pointing at your subdomain. Because your logo and colours come along, that hand-off does not feel like a jump to somewhere unfamiliar — visitors can see they are still with you.
Would you rather visitors never left your site at all? Then you drop the ticket sales straight into a page on your own domain with a small piece of code. That can be your whole offering, one event, or a single course or product on exactly the page where it belongs. That widget picks up your brand too.
Every event page on your subdomain has its own title, description and structured data for search engines. When someone searches for the name of your event, your page can turn up — instead of a listing page where you are one entry among many.
Better clear now than once the posters are already at the printer.
The address is the key everything in your ticket shop hangs from: sold tickets, payment links, emails and QR codes all point at it. That is why you cannot switch it yourself afterwards. So at sign-up, pick the name you will still be known by in three years — not the one of your next festival.
You get yourclub.mijnevent.nl, not tickets.yourclub.nl. A fully custom domain for your ticket shop is not available right now. What is: linking through from your own domain, or showing the sales inside your own site with the widget — then the visitor stays at your address.
You choose your own colours, but the admin screen measures the contrast as you go and warns you the moment text or buttons drop below the accessibility standard. Staying readable weighs heavier here than getting that one exact shade from your logo.
