Short answer

## What does selling tickets through MijnEvent cost?

Selling tickets through MijnEvent costs a flat amount per paid ticket: € 0.50 on Pay as you go (no subscription or fixed costs) and € 0.25 on the Organiser plan (€ 14.95 per published event), including VAT. There is no percentage of your ticket price and there are no hidden costs; for large volumes there is a Custom plan from € 0.01 per ticket. You can also pass the fee on: per ticket type you set your own service fee, which the visitor pays and which goes entirely to you — on balance you then sell tickets at no cost of your own. Free tickets are always fee-free, so organising a free event costs nothing. Payments run through Mollie Connect straight into your own Mollie account, so you have your revenue before your event instead of after it. Mollie's transaction costs are separate and settled directly between you and Mollie.

- € 0.25lowest flat fee per paid ticket (Organiser plan)
- € 0.00cost of a free ticket, on every plan
- ± 60tickets per event at which Organiser becomes cheaper than Pay as you go
- 5 minto connect your Mollie account and start selling

# Three ways to keep it cheap

Cheap does not mean bare-bones here: every ticket comes with a QR code, a wallet pass, confirmation e-mails and the check-in app, whichever you choose.

  1

### A flat fee from € 0.25

You pay a fixed amount per ticket sold, not a percentage. On a € 45 ticket it is € 0.25 just as it is on a € 7.50 ticket — the higher your price, the bigger your advantage.

   2

### Pass the costs on

Set your own service fee per ticket type, with your own label. The visitor pays it transparently at checkout and the amount goes entirely to you — on balance you sell at no cost of your own.

   3

### Free tickets are genuinely free

We charge nothing at all on a € 0 ticket. A free event with registrations, QR codes and check-in costs you € 0.00 — no trial period, no limit.

# The pricing side by side

All amounts include VAT. You choose per organisation, not per event — and you can always switch.

Comparison of the three MijnEvent pricing plans: fixed costs, fee per paid ticket and target group. Plan Fixed costs Fee per paid ticket Best for Pay as you go None € 0.50 Occasional events, without a contract or minimum. Organiser € 14.95 per published event € 0.25 Regular organisers; cheaper from around 60 tickets per event. Custom On request From € 0.01 Large volumes, with API access and bespoke agreements.

Free tickets are fee-free on every plan. The transaction costs of the payment itself are settled directly between you and Mollie and are separate from the platform fee.

# Flat fee or percentage: the difference at a glance

A worked example with a fictitious percentage platform charging 4% + € 1.00 per ticket, next to the flat MijnEvent fee of € 0.25 (Organiser plan).

   Worked example: cost per ticket on a percentage platform versus a flat fee, and the difference per hundred tickets sold. Ticket price Percentage platform (4% + € 1.00) MijnEvent (flat fee) Difference per 100 tickets € 10.00 € 1.40 per ticket € 0.25 per ticket € 115.00 € 25.00 € 2.00 per ticket € 0.25 per ticket € 175.00 € 50.00 € 3.00 per ticket € 0.25 per ticket € 275.00

Percentages and surcharges differ per platform; this example shows the mechanism. Verified rates per provider are on the comparison pages.

# Pass the costs on and sell at zero net cost

The platform fee does not have to come out of your margin. Service fees per ticket type are set up in a minute.

Per ticket type you decide whether a service fee is added on top of the ticket price, how much it is and what it is called — "booking fee", for instance. The visitor sees that amount as a separate, transparent line at checkout, exactly as consumer law requires.

That service fee goes entirely to you, not to MijnEvent. Set it to the amount of the platform fee and every sale covers its own costs, leaving you your full ticket price net.

## Worked example: 200 tickets at € 15

- Platform fee (Organiser): 200 × € 0.25 = € 50.00
- Service fee of € 0.25 per ticket: visitors pay € 50.00 to you in total
- Net platform costs for you: € 0.00

The visitor pays € 15.25 per ticket and sees the breakdown at checkout.

# Free events and free tickets: 100% free

Registrations for an open day, members' night or benefit — handled without a single invoice.

    ### No fee on € 0

A free ticket does not count towards the platform fee. Not as a trial, but as the rule: a € 0 price means a € 0 fee.

     ### No subscription needed

Pay as you go has no fixed costs. An organisation that only runs free events therefore never pays MijnEvent anything.

     ### Still the full platform

Free tickets also get a QR code, confirmation e-mail, wallet pass and app check-in. You know in advance who is coming and prevent no-shows.

# Everything included with every sale

No add-ons or mandatory modules: this comes as standard with every ticket, including free tickets and on Pay as you go.

# Included for free: modules that make your event better

Besides ticket sales you enable modules per event. A good share of them is free — where many other ticketing platforms sell this as a paid add-on, or simply do not have it.

    ### Floor plans without per-seat costs

Visitors pick their own seat on an interactive floor plan, with a fully accessible list view. Many platforms charge per reserved seat for this; at MijnEvent the floor plan costs € 0.

     ### Safety & permit, completely free

Live crowd monitoring at your gates on the scans you already do, plus an evacuation record for the municipality. No extra hardware — and you rarely find this on ticketing platforms at all, let alone free.

     ### 0% fee on donations

A donation field at checkout or a separate fundraising campaign: MijnEvent charges 0% fee on it. Every donated euro goes to your cause; only Mollie's payment costs remain.

     ### Terugblik: attendee feedback afterwards

Ask anonymously after your event what visitors thought. Free up to 25 recipients, and your very first feedback round is free anyway — above that a flat amount, never a percentage.

     ### Newsletter integration, free

Visitors opt in to your own newsletter service with a single checkbox at checkout. No fee, no extra subscription — you build your own reach instead of the platform's.

     ### Email attendees from your dashboard

Reach exactly the people it concerns — around your event this is free, and emergency announcements are always free. Stay in touch without a separate mailing tool.

Every module has its own page with public pricing; whatever costs money says so plainly. Feel free to compare it with what your current platform charges for this.

   Frequently asked questions

## Frequently asked questions about selling tickets

## What does selling tickets through MijnEvent cost?

A flat amount per paid ticket: € 0.50 on Pay as you go (no fixed costs) and € 0.25 on Organiser, with € 14.95 per published event. For large volumes there is a Custom plan from € 0.01 per ticket. All amounts include VAT; there is no percentage of your ticket price.

## Can I sell free tickets at no cost?

Yes. Free tickets (price € 0) are completely fee-free on every plan. A free event with registrations, QR codes, confirmation e-mails and check-in costs you nothing — there is no limit and no trial period.

## Can I pass the platform costs on to my visitors?

Yes. Per ticket type you set your own service fee, with your own label such as "booking fee". The visitor sees that amount transparently at checkout and it goes entirely to you. Set it to € 0.25 and every sale covers the platform fee, so on balance you sell at no cost of your own.

## Are there hidden costs or percentages?

No. The platform fee is a flat amount per paid ticket, independent of your ticket price. The only costs besides it are Mollie's transaction costs for the payment itself; those are settled directly between you and Mollie, at the rates of your own Mollie contract.

## Do I need a subscription or contract?

No. Pay as you go has no fixed costs, no minimum and no notice period: you only pay € 0.50 per paid ticket sold. The Organiser plan with the lower € 0.25 fee is optional and charges € 14.95 per published event — no monthly amount.

## When do I receive the money from my ticket sales?

Payments are created through Mollie Connect directly on your own organisation's Mollie account; MijnEvent never holds your revenue. Mollie transfers to your bank account according to your own payout settings, so you have the revenue before your event.

## Which payment methods can my visitors use?

Every payment method you enable in your own Mollie profile, including iDEAL | Wero, credit card, Bancontact and Apple Pay. You control the selection at Mollie; MijnEvent automatically shows what you have activated there.

## Can I sell tickets through my own website?

Yes. You get your own ticket shop at yourname.mijnevent.nl with your own logo and colours as standard, and you can embed ticket sales directly into your existing website with an embed script — including WordPress, without a plugin.

## What do I need to start selling tickets?

An organisation registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and a free Mollie account in that organisation's name. Registering with MijnEvent costs nothing, and the Mollie connection takes about five minutes through Mollie Connect. After that you can publish your first event right away.

## Am I allowed to charge my visitors a service fee?

Yes, as long as you show it honestly and early — hidden costs in the final step violate consumer law. MijnEvent therefore always shows service fees as a separate line in the checkout price breakdown, from the first price summary onwards.

## Can I try it first without real payments?

Yes. In demo mode you walk through the complete sales flow with test orders via Mollie's test environment, without any real money being charged. That way you test your event, ticket types and e-mails before going live.

## Is there a limit on the number of tickets or events?

No. You create unlimited events and sell unlimited tickets; you set the capacity per ticket type yourself. For peak sales there is a virtual waiting room and for sold-out tickets a waitlist, at no extra cost.

## How quickly can I sell tickets online?

Most organisers are live within an hour: register with your Chamber of Commerce number, connect your Mollie account (about five minutes), create your event with ticket types and publish. From that moment visitors can pay.

## Can I also sell tickets at the door?

Yes. With the box office feature you sell tickets on the spot with a Mollie payment terminal, Tap to Pay or cash. Those sales count towards your capacity, statistics and check-in, so online and door sales never get mixed up.

## Can visitors resell their ticket safely?

If you allow it, yes. You switch resale on or off per ticket type and set a maximum price against touting. On a resale the old ticket becomes invalid and the buyer receives a new ticket with a new QR code.

## In which languages can visitors buy tickets?

The sales side is available in eleven visitor languages, including Dutch, English, German, French, Polish and Frisian. The ticket shop follows the visitor's language choice, including automatically translated event texts.

## Do visitors get their ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Yes. Besides the PDF ticket with QR code, every visitor can add the ticket to their phone as a wallet pass, for both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. At the door the same QR code is scanned with the check-in app.

## Is the ticket sale accessible to visitors with a disability?

Yes. The complete checkout flow meets WCAG AA: sufficient contrast, visible focus, correct form labels and screen reader usability. Since 28 June 2025 this is also legally required for ticket sales under the European Accessibility Act.

## Which modules are free?

Free modules include the floor plan for reserved seating (no per-seat costs), the Safety & permit module with crowd monitoring, the newsletter integration and emailing attendees around your event. Donations carry a 0% fee, and Terugblik (attendee feedback) is free up to 25 recipients. Paid modules have public pricing on their own pages.
