Why Mollie Connect?
MijnEvent uses Mollie Connect instead of its own payment processing. That has one big consequence for you as an organiser: payments from visitors land directly in your Mollie account, without passing through MijnEvent first. No waiting times, no payout terms, no questions about when your money becomes available.
Mollie supports iDEAL, credit card, Bancontact and all other common payment methods. You manage those settings yourself in your Mollie dashboard.
What do you need?

- Your account must be active (identity verification completed)

Step 1 — Create a MijnEvent account
Register your organisation via mijnevent.nl/registreer. You choose a subdomain — this becomes the home base for all your events. Pick something recognisable for your visitors, such as yourorganisation.mijnevent.nl.
Step 2 — Connect your Mollie account
After registering, you go through a short onboarding wizard. At the "Set up payments" step you click Connect your Mollie account. You are redirected to Mollie, where you grant permission once. Mollie then sends you back to your MijnEvent management panel.
The connection is saved immediately. You see a green tick with the name of your Mollie profile.
Step 3 — Create your first event
Go to Manage > Events > New event. Fill in the name, date, location and description. Add ticket types with a name, price (in euros) and available quantity. Save.
Step 4 — Publish
Once you are happy, set the event to Published. Your event appears straight away on your subdomain. Visitors can order immediately.
Step 5 — Go live
Share your event link via social media, your website or newsletter. Orders and payments are processed automatically. You receive a notification for each new order.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a business Mollie account? No, a personal account is sufficient for small organisers. For larger volumes, Mollie recommends a business account.
What if I already have a Mollie account? Then the connection works in the same five steps. You don't need to create a new account.
Can I publish multiple events at once? Yes, there is no limit on the number of events active at the same time.
