# Ticket sales with direct payout to your own account

With MijnEvent every payment flows through Mollie straight into your own organisation's account. No platform wallet, no waiting until weeks after your event — your revenue is in while the sale is still running.

  Short answer

## How do I get my ticket revenue paid out directly?

Connect your own Mollie account to MijnEvent once via Mollie Connect. From that moment on, every ticket payment is created directly on your organisation's Mollie account — the money never passes through MijnEvent. Mollie transfers to your bank account on your own payout schedule, daily if you like. That means the proceeds of your pre-sale are in your account before your event takes place, so you can pay deposits to artists, venue and suppliers straight from your ticket revenue. MijnEvent charges a flat fee per paid ticket from €0.25 including VAT; free tickets are fee-free. Connecting is free and takes about five minutes.

# The problem with payouts after your event

Many ticketing platforms collect your revenue on their own account and only pay out once the event is over. That feels safe, but it pinches at exactly the wrong moment.

  1

### Your costs come first

Venue, artists, production and catering want a deposit before your event. Your revenue exists — but the money sits with someone else.

   2

### You pre-finance your own revenue

Without access to your pre-sale you front the costs yourself, or from the club treasury. That limits how big you dare to programme.

   3

### You carry platform risk

If your revenue sits in the platform's account, you are just another creditor if it goes bankrupt. That is not theory — it has happened to several platforms.

# How MijnEvent solves it

No intermediate account, no payout requests, no waiting period.

       ### Money directly in your own account

Every payment lands on your organisation's Mollie account via Mollie Connect. MijnEvent never holds your revenue.

      ### You set the payout rhythm

Daily, weekly or monthly to your bank account — you control it in your own Mollie settings, not with us.

       ### Flat low fee, incl. VAT

From €0.25 per paid ticket, no percentage of your revenue. Free tickets are always fee-free.

       ### Automatic VAT invoices

Visitors download their own VAT invoice; you never draft or forward one by hand again.

# Why direct payout makes the difference

You largely finance an event before it takes place. The venue wants a deposit, the artist an advance, security and catering a confirmation with budget behind it. Your pre-sale runs in exactly those weeks — but with many ticketing platforms that revenue is still sitting in the platform's account. Direct payout via Mollie turns that around: every ticket sold becomes available balance within days, and you pay your suppliers from your own ticket revenue instead of from bridge financing or the club treasury.

Technically it works through Mollie Connect. You connect your organisation's Mollie account to MijnEvent once; from then on every payment is created directly on yóúr account. MijnEvent is not an intermediary in the money flow and has no platform wallet: there is simply no moment at which your revenue sits with us. You control the payout to your bank account in your own Mollie settings — daily, weekly or monthly — and follow it in your own Mollie dashboard, next to the live sales overview in your MijnEvent dashboard.

It is a risk story too. In recent years several ticketing and voucher platforms collapsed while organisers still had balances in their accounts; those organisers ended up at the back of the queue as unsecured creditors. With MijnEvent that scenario cannot exist, because your revenue is never there. The safe ticket revenue page explains exactly how, and the payments page walks through the Mollie connection step by step.

# Who is this important for?

Direct payout matters to every organiser with costs before the event date: festivals and concerts with artist advances, associations and foundations that don't want to front the money, theatres with a long pre-sale window, and corporate events where the venue wants payment well in advance. It counts for small organisers too: whoever organises their first event rarely has reserves to wait weeks for a payout.

# Trusted by hundreds of organisers

From obstacle runs to theatres: organisers choose MijnEvent because the money from their own sales actually stays theirs. Built in Drenthe, with no hidden costs.

Nathan S. — Urban Challenge Frequently asked questions

## Frequently asked questions about direct payout

## When is my ticket revenue in my bank account?

Every payment is created directly on your own organisation's Mollie account. Mollie transfers to your bank account on your own payout settings — daily if you like. So you have the proceeds during the pre-sale, not after your event.

## Does MijnEvent hold my revenue?

No, never. MijnEvent has no platform wallet and no intermediate account: the money goes via Mollie Connect straight from the visitor to your organisation's Mollie account. We only collect our flat fee per paid ticket, automatically per transaction.

## What happens to my money if MijnEvent went under?

Nothing — it is not with us. Your revenue sits in your own Mollie account and your own bank account. Even in the worst-case scenario your ticket money simply remains yours.

## Do I need a Mollie account?

Yes, a free Mollie account in your organisation's name. That is precisely the point: because payments arrive on yóúr account, direct payout is possible. Connecting via Mollie Connect takes about five minutes.

## What does ticket selling with direct payout cost?

A flat amount per paid ticket: €0.50 on Pay as you go (no fixed costs) or €0.25 on the Organiser plan (€14.95 per published event), including VAT. Free tickets are fee-free. Mollie's transaction costs are settled directly with Mollie.

## How do refunds work if an event is cancelled?

You issue refunds from your dashboard with one click per order; Mollie returns the amount from your account to the visitor. Because you control your own balance, you never depend on a platform to process refunds.
