At sign-up you choose Belgium as your country of establishment and enter your ten-digit KBO company number, plus optionally your VAT number in the form BE0123456789. Your visitors pay with Bancontact, iDEAL | Wero, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — which methods you switch on is up to you in your own Mollie account, because payments run straight through it rather than through an account of ours. The VAT rate you set follows the Belgian system: 6% for admission to cultural, sporting and entertainment events, 21% as the standard rate. Pricing is the same as in the Netherlands: a flat €0.50 per ticket sold, or €0.25 on the Organiser plan at €14.95 per event. No percentage of the ticket price, and free tickets stay free. # To be clear: MijnEvent, not MijnEvent.be There is a similarly named party in Belgium at mijnevent.be. That is not us. What differs ## Four things that work differently for Belgium The rest of the platform behaves exactly as it does for a Dutch organiser. ## Bancontact is simply there at checkout Payments run through your own Mollie account. That is where you switch on the methods you want to offer: Bancontact, iDEAL | Wero, Payconiq, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not sit in between and charge no markup on the payment method — Mollie bills its transaction costs to you directly, per order and not per ticket. ## The Belgian VAT system, not the Dutch one Choose Belgium as your country and your settings screen offers the Belgian rates: 0%, 6%, 12% and 21%. Admission to cultural, sporting and entertainment events is generally 6%. The Dutch 9% rate does not exist in Belgium and is therefore not offered. The rate you pick appears on your visitors' invoices. If you are unsure about your situation, put it to your accountant or the FPS Finance — we do not give tax advice. ## Your money is never with us Ticket revenue lands in your own Mollie account, not in an account belonging to MijnEvent. We deduct a flat platform fee per ticket sold and nothing else. That also means your payout rhythm is your choice rather than ours, and there is no period during which your revenue sits on our balance sheet. ## Signing up with your KBO number At the top of the sign-up form you choose Belgium. The form then asks for a ten-digit company number (KBO/BCE) instead of an eight-digit Dutch KVK number, a four-digit Belgian postal code and a VAT number in the BE form. The Belgian party at mijnevent.be is unrelated; we have no connection to them. ## Can my visitors check out in both Dutch and French? Visitor pages and emails are available in Dutch and English; French is not available at the moment.
