  Short answer

## How does booking tickets with a seating plan work?

You draw your hall once as a floor plan — sections, rows and seats — or send us your layout and we set up every hall for free. You attach that plan to every performance or screening in that room, with price tiers linked to your existing ticket types: prices, service fees and discount codes keep working unchanged. Visitors choose their seat in two equal ways: a graphically strong, zoomable floor plan or a fully accessible list view. Wheelchair spaces with a companion seat, a warning about isolated empty seats and "give me the best seats together" are included as standard. Double-selling is technically impossible, even at peak demand. The chosen seat appears on the ticket, the PDF, the confirmation email and the wallet pass. The module is free: no cost per seat.

# Without a seating plan, it grinds

Free seating works for a festival — not for a hall with rows.

  1

### Hassle at the door

Loose tickets without a seat number mean arriving early, saving seats and arguments in the queue. Your audience deserves better.

   2

### Expensive seating systems

Specialised seat pickers charge per seat sold. For a small hall with many performances, that adds up fast.

   3

### Seat pickers that are not accessible

A floor plan that only works with a mouse excludes visitors using a screen reader or keyboard — and since the European Accessibility Act that is a legal problem too.

# What the seating module can do

Your hall, not a grid.

            ### Interactive floor plan ánd list

Visitors switch between the zoomable floor plan and a fully-fledged list view themselves. With a screen reader or keyboard you pick the same seat.

       ### Price tiers on your ticket types

First tier, second tier or love seats: each section links to an existing ticket type. Prices, service fees and discount codes work unchanged.

       ### Wheelchair spaces and best seats

Wheelchair spaces with a companion seat, a warning about isolated empty seats and automatically the best seats together — as standard.

      ### Double-selling impossible

Each seat can only be sold once, even during a spike of simultaneous buyers. The inspector sees row and seat instantly when scanning.

# What does it cost?

The seating module is free: no cost per seat and no extra charges. Only a one-time setup, which is currently €0 — send us your hall layout and we prepare every hall for free. The usual platform fee per paid ticket applies unchanged and free seats are fee-free.

# How the seating module works in practice

It starts with your floor plan. You draw it yourself with the built-in editor — sections, rows, seats, the stage or screen as the reference point — or you send us your hall layout and we set up every hall for free. You draw a plan once and then attach it to every performance or screening in that room. An arthouse cinema with four screens and thirty showings a week sets up four floor plans and is ready for the whole weekly programme.

For your visitors, picking seats is the best part of the purchase. They zoom smoothly across the plan of yóúr hall, see per price tier what a seat costs and, if they like, have the best free seats together picked with one click. Anyone who prefers no floor plan — or works with a screen reader or keyboard — switches to the fully-fledged list view and picks exactly the same seat there. Wheelchair spaces with a companion seat are their own seat type, and switching seats after purchase simply works, if you allow it.

On the sales side nothing changes about what you already had: price tiers link to your existing ticket types, so prices, service fees, member pricing, early-bird periods and discount codes keep working unchanged. Double-selling is technically impossible, even during peak sales, and when scanning, the inspector instantly sees row and seat number. All of that with no cost per seat — only the usual platform fee per paid ticket.

# For which venues?

For every hall with a fixed layout: theatres, arthouse cinemas and multiplexes, concert halls and music venues with seated shows, churches with performances, village halls and cultural centres. A temporary grandstand at a festival or a sports hall with a one-off gala layout is simply a floor plan too — you draw it once and sell seat by seat.

# Trusted by hundreds of organisers

Theatres and arthouse cinemas run their ticket sales on MijnEvent — including resale, automatic VAT invoices and an accessible seat picker that complies with the European Accessibility Act.

5-star rating> "The resale feature saves us an enormous amount of customer service — visitors simply handle it themselves. And we no longer have to create and send VAT invoices by hand either: visitors simply arrange those themselves."

## Frequently asked questions about the seating plan

## What does the seating plan cost per seat?

Nothing. There is no fee per seat and no extra cost for the module; only a one-time setup that is currently €0. You only pay the usual platform fee per paid ticket, from €0.25 including VAT — free seats are fee-free.

## Do I have to draw my hall myself?

You can, with the built-in editor — but you don't have to: send us your hall layout and we set up every hall for free. You draw a plan once and then attach it to every performance in that room.

## Does this also work for a cinema or arthouse?

Yes. To the module a cinema screen is simply a room: raked rows, the screen as the reference point and love seats or a premium row as their own price tier. One plan per screen, attached to every showing — set up four screens and your whole weekly programme sells.

## Do my prices and discount codes keep working?

Yes. A price tier is simply an existing ticket type; prices, service fees, member pricing and discount codes work unchanged. Early-bird periods per ticket type keep applying too.

## Is the seat picker accessible?

Yes, fully. Alongside the graphical floor plan there is always a completely accessible list view that lets you pick the same seat with a screen reader or keyboard only. That makes your ticket sales compliant with WCAG AA and the European Accessibility Act.

## Can a visitor change seats after purchase?

Yes. A visitor can — if you allow it — switch to a free seat in the same price tier after purchase. The ticket and the wallet pass are updated automatically.
