# Integrating ticket sales: embed, API and member linking

Sell tickets where your visitors already are: on your own website. Paste the embed onto your page, or go a step further with an API key and a member link that shows your members their member price automatically.

       In short

- The drop-in embed puts the complete ticket sale on your own website; the widget adjusts its height automatically, with no second scrollbar.
- Organisations get API keys to sign the integration and drive sales programmatically; the signing secret is shown once, at creation.
- With member linking — a signed member token — MijnEvent recognises your members automatically, so they see their member price or members-only tickets without a separate account.

Your visitors are already on your own website — that's where you want to keep them. MijnEvent connects your ticket sales straight to your site, from a simple embed to a full link with your membership administration. How deep you go is up to you.

# Option 1: the drop-in embed

The fastest route. Under **Integrations** in your dashboard you copy the **embed script** and paste it onto the page where you want to sell tickets. The widget loads the complete sale — ticket types, quantities, checkout — and **adjusts its height automatically**, so there's no double scrollbar or cut-off content. An iframe variant exists too, but the embed is the better option.

# Option 2: API keys

Want to sign the integration or drive sales programmatically? Under **Integrations → API keys** you create a key for your organisation. You use that key to sign requests — store it safely; the secret is shown only once, when you create it.

# Option 3: member linking

The most powerful step. With a **signed member token**, MijnEvent recognises your members automatically. Your system signs a short token with your API key; MijnEvent verifies it and applies whatever belongs to that member:

- **Member pricing** instead of the regular price;
- **Members-only tickets** that non-members don't even see in the list.

You don't have to share your membership database — only the signed token travels along. So members get their benefit without a separate account, and you keep your administration in one place.

> Start with the embed and grow into member linking when you're ready — the same sale, integrated ever more deeply.

   Frequently asked questions

## Frequently asked questions

## Do I need to be able to code to use the embed?

No. The embed is a small snippet you paste onto your page — the widget loads and resizes itself. The API and member linking are optional, for those who want to integrate further.

## How does MijnEvent know who my members are?

Your system signs a short member token with your API key. MijnEvent verifies that token and applies member pricing or members-only access — without your membership database ever being shared.

## The evacuation record: why the day after your event matters for the next permit

An evacuation — real or drilled — is only finished once it is on paper. What belongs in an evacuation record, why the municipality asks for it, and how to make the record write itself instead of reconstructing it afterwards?

## Weather monitoring in your safety plan: how KNMI warnings land in your alerts and logbook automatically

Almost every safety-plan format has a 'weather monitoring' section — and almost nobody fills it in concretely. The Safety & Permit module pulls the KNMI warning code for your event location every hour and turns it into a demonstrable process.
