Admitted is hard data. - The module is completely free — safety should not sit behind a paywall. Anyone organising an event gets four questions from the municipality: how many people may attend at most, how do you know you stay below that, who intervenes when things go wrong, and how do you evacuate? Most safety plans answer with some variant of "we keep an eye on the numbers". The **Safety & permit** module turns that into a demonstrable process — built on the scans your stewards already do. # Live view of your inflow, per entrance Every check-in is a data point: someone entered through that gate at that moment. The safety dashboard counts along live: total admitted visitors against your capacity, inflow per minute and figures per gate. Your stewards simply pick which entrance they staff when scanning — that is all the setup there is. It even works without any setup: everything counts on one gate. One thing you deliberately never see: a "current attendance" figure. Visitors do not check out when they leave, so nobody can honestly measure that — and a wrong number during an emergency is more dangerous than no number. What we do show is hard: how many people were admitted. That is an upper bound on attendance, and exactly what your permit is about. # Alerts that warn you in time The system watches your inflow in four ways: - **Scan peaks** — if inflow suddenly jumps to three times your event's own average, you get an alert. The comparison is always with your own evening, never a platform average. - **Capacity** — at 80%, 95% and 100% of your configured capacity an alert fires. - **Silent gates** — an entrance falling silent while the rest keeps scanning usually means a broken scanner or a steward who walked away. The app has a pause button, so a coffee break is not a false alarm. - **KNMI weather warnings** — code yellow, orange or red for your location automatically appears in your alerts and your log. Every alert appears on the stewards' scanning screen, where they have to acknowledge it. Who acknowledged what and when is recorded immutably — that is the escalation chain a permit authority wants to see. The alert also arrives as a real push notification, even when the steward does not have the scanning screen open. The phone vibrates and the notice stays on screen until someone taps "Seen". That works on Android, iPhone and desktop; on an iPhone only after the steward has installed the scanner once via Share → "Add to Home Screen", because Apple only delivers push to an installed app. Starting an evacuation and sounding the all-clear go out as push too. To be straight about it: a push notification is a tool, not a guarantee. A phone sits in a coat pocket, a battery dies, a network stutters. So make sure your escalation has a human link in it too: radio, a shift lead, a walk past the gates. # The evacuation button In an emergency you press the evacuation button in the dashboard. After a deliberate confirmation step three things happen at once: every steward gets a push notification and an urgent red screen with the emergency routes and phone numbers you prepared, you can send an emergency message to checked-in visitors — by mail and as a lock-screen notice for anyone holding their ticket in Apple or Google Wallet — and everything is recorded with timestamps. Visitors deliberately never get a push notification; those two channels are it. Afterwards you have a complete [evacuation record](/en/blog/evacuation-record-event-evidence) without writing a word. On ending, those same wallet passes automatically get the all-clear. The scanner keeps your emergency floor plans, escape routes and emergency plan plus the latest safety status stored locally, so they stay on screen when the connection stutters. Ticket validation deliberately does not work offline: approving a ticket without the data behind it is not a check. There is also a **drill mode**: the same scenario, clearly labelled as an exercise, with its own log. Visitors notice nothing during a drill — only your organisation and the stewards take part. A rehearsed evacuation is a permit requirement for larger events — and now it is demonstrable too. # For the municipality: watching along and a report Want the municipality or fire service to watch along during your event? Create a read-only viewing link: no account needed, aggregated figures only, revocable, and every access is logged. Afterwards an evaluation report is ready with inflow charts, peak analysis per entrance, the full incident log and an account of the measuring method. And before your application the **permit helper** does its work: it generates the monitoring, communication and evacuation paragraphs for your safety plan, written in the national profile format that municipalities and safety regions use. Paste them into your municipality's format and you are done. # Free, no small print The module is completely free, however big your event. Safety should not sit behind a paywall — it is that simple. What the module is not: a replacement for your safety plan, your security organisation or professional crowd management at a truly large event. We count what we scan, and we say so honestly. Frequently asked questions ## Frequently asked questions ## Why doesn't the dashboard show a current attendance figure? Because it cannot be measured: visitors do not scan when leaving. The module therefore shows the cumulative admitted count — a hard upper bound on attendance, and exactly the figure your permit is about. Only for a closed venue with staffed exit control can you enable an attendance counter. ## What do I need to get started? Nothing extra. As soon as your stewards scan you see your live counter and inflow chart. Entrances, capacity, emergency numbers and documents you add whenever you have time. ## What does the municipality see through a viewing link? Aggregated figures only: admitted visitors, capacity and inflow per entrance. No personal data, no revenue. The link is revocable and every access is logged. ## Does this replace my safety plan? No. It is a tool that supports and evidences your monitoring, escalation and evacuation. You remain responsible as the organiser — the system informs, you decide.
