Check-in and QR scanning for inspectors

The mobile check-in app

As an inspector you work with the mobile check-in app during the event. You simply have it on your phone, so you don't need a special scanner or any extra equipment. You open the app, select the event, and you're ready to let visitors in.

The app is built for speed: as few actions per visitor as possible, so the queue keeps moving and nobody has to wait unnecessarily.

Scanning a ticket

Scanning is done with your phone's camera. You point the camera at the QR code on the visitor's ticket and the app recognises it automatically. The visitor can show the QR code on their phone or on a printed PDF — it makes no difference.

Is scanning not working for a moment, for example because of a dirty or damaged code? Then you can also type the ticket code in manually. That way check-in always keeps moving, even if the camera won't cooperate.

Instantly clear: green or red

After every scan you get immediate visual feedback, so you know at a glance what to do:

  • Green — the ticket is valid and the visitor is welcome. Let them through.
  • Red — the ticket is invalid or has already been checked in. The visitor cannot use it to enter (again).

Because the feedback is simple and colour-coded, you don't have to read any fine print. You can see at once whether someone may enter or not, even when it's busy at the door.

Whole groups in a single scan

Is a group arriving that share a single order? Then you don't have to scan each ticket separately. An order comes with a combined QR code, and with a single scan you check in the entire group at once. That saves time and keeps things flowing for large parties.

Do the members of a group arrive separately after all? Then their individual tickets work just fine, of course.

Built for outdoors

Many events take place outside, and there bright sunlight is a challenge for any screen. That's why the check-in app is built with high contrast and large buttons. The green/red feedback stands out, even in full sun, and the large buttons are easy to hit, even in a hurry or while wearing gloves.

That way the app stays readable and usable, whether you're standing in a dark hall or in the middle of a sunny festival ground.

In short

  • Scan QR codes with the camera, or type the ticket code in manually.
  • Green = valid and welcome, red = invalid or already checked in.
  • A combined QR code checks in a whole group in a single scan.
  • High contrast and large buttons make the app easy to use outdoors too.

With the check-in app you keep the door running smoothly and you instantly know where you stand with every visitor.
