Payments run through Mollie
MijnEvent processes all ticket payments through Mollie, one of the best-known payment service providers in the Netherlands. That means your visitors pay in a trusted, secure environment that they probably already know from other webshops.
You don't have to build or maintain any complicated payment technology yourself. As soon as you have linked your own Mollie account to MijnEvent, visitors can pay for tickets right away.
Which payment methods are available?
Which payment methods your visitors see during checkout depends on what is activated in your Mollie profile. Common options are:
- iDEAL — the most-used payment method in the Netherlands
- Bancontact — popular with Belgian visitors
- Credit card — Visa, Mastercard and other cards
- And, depending on your profile, various other methods
The great thing about this: you decide for yourself. Want to offer an extra payment method or switch one off? You arrange that directly in your own Mollie dashboard. MijnEvent automatically adopts whatever is activated there.
How to manage your payment methods
You set up payment methods not in MijnEvent, but in your Mollie account:
- Log in to your Mollie dashboard.
- Go to your profile and review the available payment methods.
- Activate or deactivate the methods you want to offer.
Some payment methods first have to be requested or approved by Mollie before you can use them. Mollie guides you through this step by step.
Always in euros
All payments through MijnEvent are made in euros (EUR). That keeps things clear for both you and your visitors: ticket prices, any service fees and the final amount are always shown in the same currency.
How does your visitor choose a method?
The choice of payment method happens at the very last moment, during the Mollie checkout. After a visitor has selected their tickets and clicks through to pay, they arrive in the trusted Mollie environment. There they choose the method that suits them best and complete the payment.
After a successful payment, the visitor automatically returns and receives their ticket with a QR code by email.
