You've bought tickets for your group of friends: ten passes for a festival weekend. Your inbox holds one PDF with ten pages, plus a group QR that gets you all in with a single scan. Handy when you arrive together. But what if one friend comes on Friday, another only on Saturday, and everyone wants their own ticket?
Then you pull the tickets apart: one PDF per ticket, a copy for everyone.
Two ways to download your tickets
In your account with the organiser you choose how you get your tickets.
- The complete PDF. All tickets of your order in one file, with the group QR. It's the same PDF as in your confirmation email. Ideal when you go in together.
- Separate PDFs per ticket. A ZIP file with its own PDF for every ticket, without the group QR. Ideal when you want to forward or hand out tickets.
You'll find both with your order: open My orders, choose your order and click Download tickets (PDF) for the complete PDF. Below it is the small link Prefer a separate PDF per ticket?.
How to pull your tickets apart
- Sign in to your account with the organiser. No password needed: you get a sign-in link by email.
- Open My orders and choose the order with your tickets.
- Click Prefer a separate PDF per ticket? and read the short explanation.
- Choose Create separate PDFs. You see the progress ("2 of 10"), and once everything is ready the ZIP file downloads by itself.
The PDFs in the ZIP are numbered, for example …-ticket-ab12cd34-01.pdf up to -10.pdf. That way you can see at a glance which ones you've already sent.
Only need one ticket? Open that ticket under My tickets and choose Download only this ticket (PDF).
Give everyone their own PDF
This is the one thing to remember: each ticket gets in only once. The QR code on a ticket is scanned at the entrance, and after that it's used. Send the same PDF to two people and only the first gets in. The second one faces a scanner that says "already checked in".
So send each separate PDF to exactly one person, and keep track of who has which number.
Why a separate PDF has no group QR
The group QR checks in the whole order with one scan. It doesn't belong on a ticket you give to one person: otherwise that person could bring in the rest of the group with a single scan, or use up your tickets by accident. That's why the group QR only appears in the complete PDF.
A separate PDF says subtly at the bottom that it was pulled out, for example "Separate ticket 3 of 10 · order AB12CD34". So whoever receives it knows it's one ticket from a larger order.
Going in together after all? Then simply use the complete PDF with the group QR. Both versions stay available in your account.
In your confirmation email too
Buy more than one ticket and your confirmation email includes a small pointer to this option. No searching needed: one click and you're at your order. Read more about finding your tickets again in Downloading your tickets after purchase.
For organisers
You don't need to set anything up. Separate PDFs are available for every paid order with more than one ticket, as long as ticket PDFs are switched on for your event. The separate PDFs share the layout of the complete PDF: your logo, your sponsor bar and its own QR per ticket. See what that PDF looks like on the PDF tickets page.
In short
- With several tickets you get one PDF with all tickets and a group QR.
- In your account you pull them apart into a ZIP with one PDF per ticket, without the group QR.
- Every separate PDF says "Separate ticket n of y".
- Give everyone their own PDF: each ticket gets in only once.
