# Facts about ticket.io

- No amount appears on the pricing page; the price consists of a "system fee plus payment provider fee" and runs through sales.
- The accessibility statement claims WCAG 2.1 level AA for three unmodified shop templates (Nero, Bianco and Cosmo).
- As soon as an organizer adds their own logos, colours or CSS, responsibility for accessibility shifts explicitly to that organizer.
- The statement lives on customer shop subdomains, not on ticket.io's own site.
- The organizer environment is available in German, English and Croatian — not Dutch.
- Settlement follows 2 to 3 working days after the event; the payout itself runs via Hyperwallet with separate verification.

# Strengths & Points of attention

## ticket.io — Strengths

- Publishes an accessibility statement for its standard shop templates
- Own personalised subdomain per organizer
- Strong gate operation: box office, turnstiles, pre-sale outlets and staff
- Visitor checkout available in thirteen languages, including Dutch
- Seating charts, time-slot bookings and quota management

## ticket.io — Points of attention

- No rate published at all; everything runs through a quote process
- No self-service signup — you cannot start on your own
- Organizer environment and support are not available in Dutch
- ticket.io collects the money itself; payout requires verification with Hyperwallet
- The accessibility statement covers only three unmodified templates and claims WCAG 2.1, not 2.2
- With more than one scanning device, redeemed tickets do not sync offline

# Privacy by design — only what is needed

MijnEvent only asks visitors for what a ticket really requires: name and email address — city is optional. No phone number, date of birth or full address: tickets do not need them, and elsewhere they are mostly collected for marketing. Less data means less risk for you and your visitors (GDPR).

- Name + email address
- City optional
- No phone number
- No date of birth
- No full address

# Why switch to MijnEvent?

Published rates, Dutch-language management and support, instant self-service start, payouts to your own Mollie account

### ticket.io is best for

Large German-speaking live events with turnstiles, hardware and entry staff

### MijnEvent is best for

Dutch organizers who want transparent pricing, accessibility built to WCAG AA, their own subdomain, privacy by design (GDPR), built-in resale, gift cards, waitlists, and self-service VAT invoices for visitors.

# When is ticket.io the better choice?

Choose ticket.io if you run a large, operationally complex live event in Germany, Austria or Croatia. Their strength is the gate: turnstiles, a staffed box office, pre-sale outlets, entry staff booking and consultancy, all from one partner. If you need twenty scanners, a staffed box office and hardware for fifteen thousand visitors, one supplier who both rents and staffs the turnstiles is worth more than a published price list. At high volume there is also room to negotiate.

# What carries over from ticket.io?

An honest overview of what you take with you, what you set up again, and what stays behind at ticket.io.

## This comes with you

- Your visitor list — the addresses are yours. With a valid opt-in you load them into your own newsletter service and connect that to the checkout.
- Your Mollie account. You connect it again and payouts keep landing straight in your own account.
- Your branding: logo, colours and your own subdomain, so visitors see your name and not the platform's.
- Your own website and existing links — point the "Tickets" button at your subdomain or place the ticket widget on your own page.

## This you set up again

- Your events, ticket types and prices are created again in your dashboard.
- Your service fees are set again per ticket type.
- Your stewards receive an invitation and set their own PIN for the scanning app.
- Modules you use — rentals, parking, memberships — are switched on one by one.

What does not come with you: tickets already sold through ticket.io. Those stay valid there and their QR codes are not recognised by us — we do not import orders from another system. Most organisers therefore switch between two events, or let a running event finish at their current provider while the next one is already set up at MijnEvent.
