Visitors buy in advance through a dedicated subdomain such as yourfestival.mijnevent.nl and pay with iDEAL, so the gate does not clog up on a sunny day. Day tickets, weekend passes and family tickets are set up as separate ticket types, each with their own price and capacity; children's tickets are set to free and are always completely fee-free. At the entrance your volunteers scan the QR codes with their own phones, across multiple gates at once and clearly readable even in bright sunlight. Revenue runs through your organisation's own Mollie account and lands directly in your bank account, before the first truck even opens its hatch.

No catch: on free tickets — for members, volunteers, children or guests — MijnEvent never charges a fee. You only pay the €0.50 (or €0.25) on paid tickets. Many platforms charge on free registrations too; with us a free ticket costs nothing, however large your guest list.

Many visitors just walk up — is advance sales worth it?
Definitely. Advance sales spread the crowd and show you turnout up front, while visitors can still buy on site via a QR poster at the box office. That way you combine advance sales with walk-up sales on the day.
Can children enter for free?
Yes. You create a free ticket type for children that is completely fee-free. Visitors reserve the children's tickets along with theirs, so you still keep a full picture of how many people are on the grounds.
Our festival runs several days — can we sell weekend passes?
Yes. You sell day tickets per day alongside a weekend pass as separate ticket types, each with their own price and capacity. Every QR code is scanned and registered on entry, so you see how many people are inside at any moment.
