Online registration for running events
From fun run to obstacle run and trail run: with us, registration is the start ticket. You manage distances and waves separately, with safe resale if a runner gets injured.
For running events, MijnEvent handles online registration for obstacle runs, fun runs, trail runs and street races, where the registration is immediately the start ticket, at a flat rate of €0.50 per registration with no subscription. You set up each distance such as the 5, 10 or 21.1 km as its own ticket type with its own price and capacity, and you place start waves or corrals beneath them each with their own slots, so one wave can be full while another remains open. Participants register in advance through your own page such as yourrace.mijnevent.nl, pay by iDEAL and receive their start ticket with QR code by email. If a runner gets injured, they safely pass on the start ticket through resale within a price ceiling the organisation sets: the old ticket becomes invalid and the buyer receives a new QR, never usable twice. When a distance is full you open a waiting list. At the start, volunteers scan the QR codes with their phone, and with the CSV export you have the start list per wave complete.
This is what it solves
Keeping distances and waves apart
Each distance and each wave is its own ticket type with its own capacity, so a full wave closes while another stays open.
An injured runner does not want to pay for nothing
Through safe resale a runner passes on the start ticket within your price ceiling; the old ticket lapses and the buyer gets a new QR.
A popular distance full, but still demand
When a distance or wave sells out you open a waiting list, so you automatically reach runners as soon as a spot opens up.
Everything you need
- Distances (5, 10, 21.1 km) as separate ticket types with their own capacity
- Start waves and corrals each with their own slots and price
- Safe resale on injury within your price ceiling
- Waiting list when a distance or wave sells out
Free tickets are genuinely free
No catch: on free tickets — for members, volunteers, children or guests — MijnEvent never charges a fee. You only pay the €0.50 (or €0.25) on paid tickets. Many platforms charge on free registrations too; with us a free ticket costs nothing, however large your guest list.

What does registration for a running event cost?
A flat rate of €0.50 per paid registration (incl. VAT), with no subscription. The amount is a fixed sum per start ticket and does not fall with the entry price or a discount code. A free kids run is always entirely fee-free.
How do we handle distances and waves?
You create each distance as its own ticket type with its own price and capacity, and you place start waves or corrals beneath them as separate ticket types. That way a popular wave fills up while a quieter one keeps taking registrations.
A runner gets injured — can someone else take their place?
Yes. Through safe resale the runner passes on the start ticket within a price ceiling you set. The old ticket becomes invalid and the new participant receives their own QR, so a bib never appears twice at the start.
What if the event is cancelled because of the weather?
You can easily reach participants by email through the attendee list and the CSV export. Refunds run through your own Mollie account, where the entry fees land directly, so you keep control over a new date or a refund.
