Ticketing for churches and parishes

A passion concert, the annual bazaar or a community evening — easy to run for the volunteers and simple enough for the older members of the congregation.

A Christmas concert, a passion concert, the annual bazaar, a coffee concert or a community evening: in church everything runs on volunteers and on visitors who like to keep things clear. MijnEvent handles the ticketing at a flat rate of €0.50 per paid ticket sold — no subscription, no percentage. Visitors buy in advance with iDEAL and get their ticket by email; at the door a volunteer scans the QR code with an ordinary phone, green or red, without seeing any figures or settings. If you want to collect a free gift or collection alongside or instead of admission, you set it up as an extra "free gift" ticket type or as adjustable service fees — a voluntary contribution in the same screen. The ticket shop is WCAG AA accessible, which is good for older members and follows the European Accessibility Act. The proceeds land straight in the church's account through your own Mollie account, with no holding account or waiting period.

This is what it solves

Volunteers who are not techies

The people behind the bazaar or at the door of the Christmas concert are not till operators. Scanning with an ordinary phone — green or red, no more than that to see — keeps it simple, and the finances and settings stay completely out of their view.

A free gift alongside or instead of admission

Many church evenings work with a collection or a free contribution rather than a fixed admission price. A "free gift" ticket type or a voluntary contribution as a service fee lets visitors choose their own amount, in advance and without coins in the collection bag.

Older visitors want it simple

A complicated ordering process puts off an older member, who then ends up paying at the door anyway. An accessible, WCAG AA shop with large buttons and clear steps means even less digital visitors get through it without help.

Everything you need

Free tickets are genuinely free

No catch: on free tickets — for members, volunteers, children or guests — MijnEvent never charges a fee. You only pay the €0.50 (or €0.25) on paid tickets. Many platforms charge on free registrations too; with us a free ticket costs nothing, however large your guest list.

Frequently asked questions

What does ticketing cost for a Christmas concert or bazaar?

By default €0.50 flat per paid ticket sold — no subscription and no percentage. Free places, for the choir or the volunteers for instance, are always entirely fee-free. If you have several larger evenings a year, the organiser subscription (€14.95 once per event plus €0.25 per ticket) can be cheaper from around 60 visitors.

Can we ask for a free gift or collection instead of a fixed price?

Yes, without a separate gift field: you create a "free gift" ticket type with a few preset amounts, or you add a voluntary contribution as an adjustable service fee on the order. That way the visitor chooses their own amount in advance, and nobody has to stand by the collection with loose coins anymore.

Is the ticket shop usable for older members of the congregation?

That has been a deliberate focus. The shop is WCAG AA accessible, with large buttons, clear steps and easily readable text, in line with the European Accessibility Act. That helps less digitally confident visitors through on their own — and anyone who really gets stuck can still be helped by a volunteer at the door.

Many of our visitors turn up spontaneously without a ticket — is that workable?

Certainly. Selling online in advance and the spontaneous visitor at the door do not rule each other out. Visitors who do buy in advance you scan with the phone; anyone arriving without a ticket can arrange a free gift or a single ticket on the spot on the same sales page, as long as there is room and you have not switched on the waitlist.
